Hold on! Don’t scroll! You still have time!
Whoa, let me back up.
I’m Kelly, the executive director of Silent Voice Canada. You know that this year we are celebrating our 50th, right? But at the same time, we are taking a close look at the name of our agency. Does it still match our programs and services? Does it reflect the needs of the Deaf community? Is it easy to sign? SILENT VOICE like this? VOICE like this or this? VOICE SILENT?
So now we are grabbing the opportunity on the occasion of our 50th, to consider the next 50 years and what they might look like, and maybe we go forward with a new name for the agency.
Your ideas are welcome! Please consider what name would be appropriate for Silent Voice Canada programs and services? And includes expansions with Durham Deaf Services and more growth?
Your ideas can be submitted on our website, in ASL, or in English; you can add a rationale if you want. But we want your name ideas. The deadline is September 30. You still have time, but it’s running out! Please send your ideas now! We want to start the next 50 years with a new, refreshed name!
Thank you!
