Events are great ways to raise awareness about Silent Voice’s cause. It is enjoyable to come together as a group and have fun. What’s important is events help us raise funds while doing what we like most. At Silent Voice, we present a few key events that are open for anyone to participate.

Friends, family, co-workers, neighbours, relatives, admirers and others can participate either as a volunteer, runner, or as sponsor benefiting our service recipients from the Deaf community. It is a wonderful opportunity to connect with others who have similar interests and generate fun and funds together.

Our events are as follows:

1. Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon:
Silent Voice is an official charity in the 2015 full marathon, half marathon, and 5k. Our team of runners have been participating in the run for three years. They raised more than $18,000 in 2014 in sponsorships and registrations. To join our team as a runner, walker, or support the team as a sponsor, please click this link below.

2. Spring Fundraiser at Shamba:
Our spring fundraising event is enjoyed by more than 150 participants. A silent auction with Canadian fine art and other donated items highlights the night while service recipients of Silent Voice share their stories on how your generosity made an impact in their lives. Since The Shamba Foundation donates its space and sponsors the event logistics, we raise over $13,000 in net profit.

3. Bingo:
Silent Voice hosts 2-3 Bingo events monthly at Delta Bingo located at 1799 St Clair Avenue West in Toronto. We have been given access to the newly renovated site that offers conventional bingo along with state-of-the-art e-bingo games. Approximately 750 participants, including Deaf adults, annually play Bingo, of which the proceeds – over $20,000 every year – go to support Silent Voice’s programs.
